The Core Curriculum at Loyola Marymount University announces openings for part-time Writing Instructors. Writing Instructors work with First Year Seminar faculty members to introduce students to the spirit of academic excellence and intellectual rigor that guides the community of scholars at Loyola Marymount University. The First Year Seminar is taught by a full-time faculty, who is responsible for the course design and content, and a Writing Instructor, who works with students in various capacities to help develop and refine their writing skills. You are invited to submit an application to be included in the general pool of part-time faculty candidates from which part-time faculty are selected to teach courses. As openings occur, applications will be reviewed.
Candidates should have at least a Masters by the time of application and at least one year of teaching experience. We welcome candidates from Rhetoric and Composition, English, and other fields.
