As inventory control/purchasing clerk, provide responsive, safe, efficient and organized purchasing and delivery service to all food and beverage outlets, kitchens, and other Kalahari venues. To actively participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily.
Must be able to frequently communicate and develop rapport with guests and associates and have a working relationship with the resort management team.
Must be able to work in a stationary position for long periods of times (up to 5 hours).
Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Must be able to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Special vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Must have full knowledge of the layout of the resort and its storage facilities.
Maintain clean, neat, and organized service area including storerooms, coolers, and freezers.
Keep dry storage, cooler and freezer areas swept and mopped according to sanitation, health, and safety guidelines.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition by handling the equipment per instruction following the preventative maintenance programs.
Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of soft goods, hardware, supplies, and food and beverage placed into inventory storage.
Follow safe food handling procedures and provide a safe environment for our guests and associates.
Ensure quality issuance of all products received and provide paperwork/findings on inadequate product.
Maintain accurate inventory count of all stock on hand.
Maintain "waste" sheet.
Order stock and supplies.
Assist with researching new products on the internet.
When needed, assist in the Shipping & Receiving area and deliver items as needed throughout the Resort.
Assist Department Heads and Supervisors with par levels of inventory stored and maintain a low on-hand inventory based on Kalahari requirements and business levels.
Participate in training classes and all Daily Promise shift meetings.
Report all concerns and problems to the Food and Beverage Director.
Ensure friendly and courteous customer relations at all times, identifying and welcoming current patrons and vendors, and work to identify and grow future business through guest relations.
Keep an open line of communication with all departments and keep them posted on what is happening in the department.
Protect company assets by adhering to security policies and procedures.
Assist with ongoing projects, additional job duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Director.
