Warehouse General Manager – Charlotte, NC

LEGACY Supply Chain Services is a third-party logistics provider with over 38 years of supply chain experience. Our expanded North American distribution footprint includes over 6,000,000 square feet of dedicated and multi-client space in 40 locations, across 15 states and 3 Canadian provinces.

LEGACY is currently seeking a Facility Manager for our Charlotte, NC warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of the warehouse operations. The Facility Manager reports to the Regional Manager. This position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with generous company match.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for oversight for all functions in the warehouse
  • Maintain a high degree of visibility and access to employees
  • Create a positive work environment that is consistent with the Company’s values and objectives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Prioritize and adjust strategic plans and initiatives in response to organizational, regulatory, or market driven imperatives.
  • Translate business vision and strategy into operational tactics in order to build the organizational support and infrastructure needed to achieve them
  • Review and evaluate performance of assigned operation functions, address performance gaps, and take corrective action, as needed, to ensure each functional area are delivering on operating goals
  • Drive performance to meet customer expectations, maintain open communications and be responsive to customer’s requirements and expectations
  • Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets
  • Hires, trains and develops staff effectively alongside the Human Resources partner
  • Administrative duties include preparing required reports and correspondence as needed
  • Operate in compliance with federal, state and local statutes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 years of increased responsibility within distribution, supply chain and logistics functions
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manager role
  • BA or BS preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3PL experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership of functional and cross-functional teams toward the achievement of objectives
  • Strong analytical, financial & P&L competencies required to succeed
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility across organization; engage others to ensure the most effective efficient logistics solutions for the varied business units
  • Must be able to develop and lead highly productive teams with a focus on individual accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience in planning, assessing and implementing change
  • Solid business acumen accompanied by interpersonal savvy
  • Ability to influence and persuade in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) required
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
