Valley Animal Hospital is an excellent place to be a veterinarian. There are many reasons that we are the highest rated clinic in Merced County. We’ve also won the “Best of Merced” for three years in a row : -) Google reviews aren’t filtered— check those out.
We have 4 DVMs who work together and a great team of motivated employees. The Doctors at VAH have been members of this community from 15 – 30+ years. Our reputation is well earned and we work hard to maintain it! We’re looking forward to adding a member to our team that wants to see the practice grow into the future.
We value Client Communication AND Quality Medicine. We also recognize that ‘every client has a different budget’, so we like to offer treatment options to help people and their pets.
We have digital x-ray & digital dental, electrocautery, ultrasound, Cardell monitors, in house CBC/Chem (IDEXX equipment), and a lot more. We perform a lot of surgery, soft tissue and orthopedics (ACL, luxating patellas & fracture repair.)
VAH is very involved in the Rescue community and provides Low Cost Spay/Neuter through a program administered by a local non-profit group. There are opportunities available to form a stronger relationship with the local animal shelter, but we haven’t pursued that yet– we are waiting to see what you are interested in doing and how you would like to contribute to animal well-being in our community!
Merced, California is a growing community and one of the ‘most affordable’ places to live in California. With UC Merced nearby, the community (and our clientele) are going to continue to grow over the decades.
We offer a base salary + production-based compensation package with excellent benefits that includes health and dental insurance, continuing education, 401k matching retirement plan, association dues, vacation and more. We will give you the opportunity to make $100K or more — the rest is up to you.
A 4 Day Work Week is an option with at least 2 consecutive days off during those 4-day weeks. Anticipate that you will be working 2 or 3 Saturdays of each month. We have NO emergency work after hours.
All California-licensed DVMs are welcome to apply. Please send resume or contact Jon Klingborg, DVM Check us out at vahmerced.com
