The designer will drive the prototyping and visual execution of new and existing features for Pearson North America Data & Analytics Services. You’ll be part of a distributed team creating online software that improves student success by providing insights and guidance to faculty. As the UX Designer you will be responsible for translating ideas from faculty partners, product managers, data scientists and other thought leaders into engaging enjoyable UI and document functional and non-functional requirements.

Your contribution to the team includes:
Solve difficult design challenges in innovative ways

Design and execute compelling solutions that meet market needs and support business objectives

Work closely with stakeholders to synthesize input in order to shape new products an

Articulate rationales clearly and convincingly in support of design and ideas

**Qualifications**

What you’ll need to be successful: Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solution 2 years of design experience, working in a team environment to produce high-quality digital/interactive designs. Ability to deliver through all stages of development with minimal supervision Ability to develop compelling ideas and contribute to product strategy and vision. Skilled at facilitating cross-functional activities and use visualization to align team thinking and develop ideas Adaptable; comfortable navigating through ambiguity. Master problem solver who dissects complicated problems to develop viable solutions Proficiency in the latest versions of design software including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Ability to develop wireframes (via Axure or similar tool) Knowledge of or desire to learn frontend web technologies including CSS, Javascript (AngularJS) and HTML Strong communication and presentation skills and skilled at articulating rationale behind design solutions Comfortable working in an agile environment
