The Ultrasound Technologist participates in the care of the patient, under the direct supervision of the provider and in collaboration with the healthcare team, by performing and reporting results of sonographic examinations within the scope of practice and clinical standards for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. This position is responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, equipment, performance, and clinical sonographic quality assessment. Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal education program in sonography
Experience Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in High Risk OB
At least 1 year of experience as a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer is preferred
Certification/Licensure Requirements
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification.
Sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification through Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NRQR) Program.
BLS certification (Basic Life Support
