As a Tool & Die Maker with Pace Industries, you will disassemble and assemble dies following instructions, clean dies and components, and perform basic repairs to dies. You will use blueprints to determine job specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality standards are met.

What it takes to do this job:
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators
Utilize hand and machine tools
Select appropriate metals and materials to be used ensuring they meet project specifications
Inspect finished dies to ensure proper smoothness, finish and contour free of all defects
High school diploma required; associate degree in fabrication preferred, with at least 1 year of industry experience
Excellent technical skills, with the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical problems
Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to mentally add, subtract, divide and multiply
Experience working with a wide range of materials such as aluminum and steel
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Completion of apprenticeship program or trade school diploma program
Work Hours: 3rd Shift 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
