Temp Position – Acquisitions Administrative Assistant – Houston, TX 77057

SWE Homes, LP is a Real Estate and Investment Company with a 32-year record of success in our industry. We invest in residential and commercial real estate in a large volume throughout Houston and surrounding counties. We are currently need an Acquisitions Administrative Assistant for about six to eight weeks to perform a wide-range of administrative duties as a member of our Acquisitions team.

The person in this role will undertake a heavy load of high-level administrative tasks that include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the due diligence surrounding potential property acquisitions by conducting preliminary research and analysis of properties being considered for purchase; reviewing and interpreting information from applicable sources such as plat or tax maps, property appraisals, title searches, inspection reports, etc.
  • Negotiating property acquisitions, preparing and reviewing legal documents that include sales agreements, comparable valuations, purchase offer letters and other documents associated with transactions involving property purchases
  • Networking and interacting with external business contacts including brokers, real estate companies, banks, mortgage companies and/or title companies, etc., by attending local business-related conferences which could entail overnight stays
  • Using independent judgment in completing activities on time and working under general supervision, while assisting with special projects and being flexible to the needs of the department and its frequently changing priorities

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Some college and 2+ years of experience in or general knowledge of the mortgage, real estate, title industries
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication skills, solid organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to prioritize and follow-up/follow-through with projects/deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly using analytical skills and logical thought process
  • Excellent internet research skills, ability to type 50+ wpm, ability to demonstrate solid skills with MS applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; Mac use is a plus

· Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance are a must
