Your role as the Team Lead – Process, ICE, and Drafting is to lead the Process and ICE (Instrumentation, Control and Electrical) team within the Deepwater Projects and Engineering organization. The team is multi-disciplined and consists of Process, Electrical and PACO (Process, Automation, Control, and Optimisation) engineers; who provide engineering and facility design support for pre-DG3 projects and select brownfield projects.
The team also serves as critical component of the Deepwater Center of Excellence located in Houston, providing discipline expertise and ad hoc support to Global Deepwater projects.
What’s the role?
As Team Lead – Process, ICE, and Drafting, you are expected to provide high quality and efficient engineering and design services/support to pre-DG3 greenfield and brownfield Deepwater projects. Additionally, you will provide specialized discipline support to the post-DG3 Deepwater projects being executed by the project-centric portion of the Deepwater Projects and Engineering organization. Equally as important is your safety mindset, as you will need to demonstrate a commitment to Goal Zero and visible HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) leadership that fosters appropriate behaviours and ensures compliance with rules and policies.
You will serve as a change agent to help lead the Deepwater Projects and Engineering organization through the organizational and cultural changes aspired for over the next few years, championing Projects and Technology initiatives including Competitive Scoping and Efficient Execution. All while implementing strategies to enable effective project execution including standard work processes and tools, commercial strategies and assurance/quality processes.
To be successful in this role, it is imperative for you to understand and to work closely with other team and project leaders for staff load balancing, monitoring of project progress and proactively intervene to ensure successful delivery. You will manage staff and contractor engineering resources (assign, monitor, forecast and adjust) for the project portfolio workload. Lastly, along with driving the team to progressive behaviour, you will lead Continuous Improvement efforts within the disciplines, providing helpful insights especially in Digitalization and Systems Engineering; which are current focus areas for improvement.
