Functions under the direction of the Manager, Supply Chain. Responsible for the acquisition, storage and distribution of supplies. Serves as a liaison between Supply Chain and end-users. Supervises Resource Management Inventory Specialist and Supply Coordinator. Responsible for all aspects of inventory management, procurement, and replenishment at hospital(s) and health park(s). Perform financial analysis and reporting of order history. Ensures supply processes and procedures are compliant with all aspects of Quality and Safety. Assists with product conversions and recalls. Assists with year-end inventories.
Required Minimum Education High School graduate or possess a General Educational Development (GED) Diploma from an accredited program. Bachelor�s Degree in a business-related field preferred. Will consider strong background in supply management in a hospital setting in lieu of degree.
Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in supplies, preferably inventory management in a hospital setting. Minimum two years� supervisory experience preferred.
Required Minimum Skills Strong communication and written skills. Proficient in office computer applications, specifically Word and Excel (see system applications below). Requires understanding of Lean principles. Proficient in Supply Chain ERP systems and supportive technologies. Knowledgeable of medical supply terminology. Ability to interact with clinicians, physicians and department personnel.
