Job Description: The Camp Counselors are responsible for being role models and leading groups of our campers through their daily activities. To be a successful Counselor, you will posses the strong desire to make positive change in the life of a child, you will be flexible in understanding the needs of the children in camp and you must be willing to get silly with the campers.
While an educational background is helpful, a love of working with children is needed! Our camp follows Department of Human Services regulations. Counselors must have the ability to: work independent or under direct supervision; have strong group management abilities, communication, relationship building and problem solving skills; ability to respond to emergency and safety situations. The candidate must have reliable transportation.

Camp is located at the Allentown YMCA, 425 S 15th St., Allentown, PA 18102.
Educational Requirements: Minimum of High School Education
Experience: 2 years of experience working with children. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DOCUMENT 2500 HOURS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN(babysitting, direct child care)
$10-10.50/HR
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: Camp is open from 6:00AM – 6:00PM (Hiring mostly for 6-8 hour daily shifts, working 5 days per week. Positions available range from 28-40 hours per week. Also, looking for openers/closers or mid day swim help) Camp training begins June 1, camp begin June 15 and runs through the beginning of September.
