Under little or no supervision supports operations by designing fixtures, troubleshooting tooling/fixturing and manufacturing processing issues and machining/fabricating fixtures and fixture components, Will also assist in Fixture Design reviews to assure cost effectiveness and manufacturability
- Construct (Machine/Fabricate/Assemble) fixtures and fixture components from engineering drawings, sketches and specifications.
- Fixture maintenance

- Provide troubleshooting guidance, assistance, and analysis of manufacturing/processing tooling and fixturing issues for all Unit Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Process Technicians and Production Associates.
- Assist Sub-contractors with tooling/fixturing/processing issues.
- Training
(Provide development and guidance for Toolroom Technicians/Machinists/Intern/Co-op)
- Equipment selection, procurement, validation and maintenance.
- Assist with Process/Fixture Validations
- Establish/Provide and support team goals and objectives.
- Supervise Toolroom/Mechanical lab associates when required
- Order raw materials and supplies required to operate an effective Toolroom.
- Assure compliance with applicable operating procedures, task instructions and FDA/GMP regulations
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent Engineering drawing reading/interpretation skills.

- Demonstrated ability to safely operate machine tools (manual & CNC), small power & hand tools, inspection equipment, and common office computer equipment

- 10+ years Machining/Fabrication/Assembly/Manufacturing Processes/Fixturing
- PC Computers- word processing, spreadsheet analysis, databases, statistical analysis
- Fixture/Tooling Design
- CAD experience a plus (Pro-Engineer)
- Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Internet
- Applicable Operating Procedures and Task Instruction requirements.
