LOCATION OPEN TO TAMPA, FT. LAUDERDALE, JACKSONVILLE

Duties and Responsibilities :

Sales Development

  • Develop and execute an annual business plan to build a sales pipeline and maximize territory sales and meet premium and case count goals by evaluating risk and opportunities in the market
  • Identify opportunities within your book of business to drive voluntary sales to meet voluntary premium and case count goals
  • Build and cultivate relationships with brokers to increase opportunities and ensure our products and services meet their needs
  • Conduct product and sales meetings through individual and group training sessions, seminars, workshops, webinars and meetings to deliver product solutions
  • Organize and attend social gatherings as appropriate to support the growth of relationships with brokers and clients both new and potential
  • Prepare and deliver clear, convincing and professional sales presentations to small and large audiences
  • Drive conversations with brokers and clients to finalize sales and work with internal parties to process and implement the sale
  • Provide service to policyholders and brokers as necessary

Relationship Management

  • Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external parties to strategically align resources that deliver optimal territory sales results
  • Represent the company in a highly professional manner
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with other teams to discuss sales/ service within assigned territory
  • Partner with Voluntary, Absence Management and Japanese Market Practice Leaders as well as the Medical Stop Loss, Limited Medical Benefit RSL teams and other Tokio Marine companies to determine best way to utilize their expertise in meeting premium and case count goals

Sales Administration

  • Adhere to established administrative procedures and company underwriting guidelines while soliciting and securing profitable business
  • Support sales office in achieving case persistency
  • Complete online trainings and attend and actively participate in face to face trainings
  • Manage expenses in the expense system with timeliness

Education, Qualifications and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years previous group employee benefit sales experience. This request may be waived for exceptional candidates from outside of the of the group employee benefit industry on a case by case basis.
  • Experience in life insurance and disability industry and preferably voluntary products
  • Strong sales and relationship management experience required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to productively schedule time and organize around priorities
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to observe, recognize and courteously adapt communication and approach to facilitate expansion opportunities
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Established broker relationships with the ability to drive stronger ongoing relationships with key brokers and clients
