Speech Language Pathologist Adolescent Program

NeuroRestorative in Carbondale is seeking a full time Speech Language Pathologist to provide residential, community, clinical and school-based services in our Adolescent Program. Our Speech-Language Pathologist provide both individual and group therapy services, supervise interns, and work collaboratively with a team of highly trained physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, rehabilitation counselors, school personnel, and residential staff.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:

  • Assesses, screens, and evaluates participants, in the areas of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

  • Reviews medical history, using the information to determine participant’s therapy needs.

  • Develops and implement individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for Participants.

  • Identifies and develops intervention strategies, routinely reviewing the data to determine the effectiveness of therapy services.

  • Ensures effective coordination of Participant care services through timely completion of required documentation.

  • Reports and records assessments, evaluations, therapy interventions according to the Mentor Network’s policies.

  • Participates in IEP (individual Educational Plans) meetings, presenting information to the Rehabilitation Team.

  • Effectively manage assigned caseload.

  • Serves on rehabilitation treatment team meetings, attends conferences, department meetings and other program development meetings.

  • Participates in maintenance of targeted department budget.

  • Performs other related duties and activities required.

  • Attends trainings and seminars on a yearly basis to update knowledge and skills.

  • Adhere to State Licensure regulations and ASHA Standards of Practice.

Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology .

Current State Licensure.
