HOURLY PAY RANGE: $31.29 – $46.94

This individual is responsible to participate in a team approach to plan and implement habilitative/rehabilitative programs for individuals who exhibit communication/cognitive deficits and/or have swallowing problems.
Perform bedside swallow assessments/screens and Outpatient Video Swallow Studies in collaboration with the Radiology staff/physicians. Provide communication of findings with all parties involved in the case as needed.
Master’s degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology.
Must have demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one year.
CFY supervision is available for those with no experience.
Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes
Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is desirable. CFY supervision is available for new graduates.
Special aptitudes include tact, understanding and compassion and ability to communicate well with other professionals, patients and their families, both verbal and written.
Must be a licensed driver; and have a reliable automobile.
