ServiceNow Technical Consultant – United States

BuildOnMe is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Consultant to join our Cloud Services practice and help build industry leading solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Work in small teams to develop products and custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Develop solutions that incorporate Artificial Intelligence service platforms such as IBM Watson and MS Cortana
  • Help ideate, research, design, and develop new solutions (products and service offerings)
  • Develop high-quality code that meets best practices and conforms to requirements for vendor application stores, such as the ServiceNow App Store
  • Build automated tests for BuildOnMe products
  • Help deploy and support BuildOnMe products on customer instances
  • Play an integral part in the continuous evaluation and evolution of our Cloud Services practice methodology

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of core software engineering, database design, application/system design and integration
  • Three years or more of software development experience to include Java and/or Javascript-based development and production support of end-to-end solutions
  • One year or more of solution development on the ServiceNow platform
  • Ability to quickly learn and develop in new technology frameworks
  • Development discipline in producing high-quality code and unit test suites, and working within a build pipeline
  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of engagement and commitment in meeting individual, team and organizational goals
  • Divergent/orthogonal thinking in discovery and analysis of problems, development of design and solutions

Skills and experience that will win you big points:

  • Prior experience working with cognitive technologies
  • Prior experience working with Big Data
  • Experience with AngularJS and ServiceNow Service Portal
  • Experience with one or more ServiceNow domains: ITSM, HR, CSM
  • Experience working on Agile teams
  • Experience working remotely with project teams
  • Tracking epics, stories, and tasks within the Atlassian suite: Confluence / JIRA
  • Existing or strong interest in generating thought leadership and participating in industry networking

Skills and experience that will win you big points:

  • We prefer applicants local to the DC or Atlanta metro areas
  • We currently do not sponsor or transfer work permits; applicants will be need to be either citizens or green card holders
  • This is a posting for a full-time employee (W2) and not for contract
