To provide a high level of leadership, mentoring and training for less experienced staff. This could be technical, project management, marketing or business development in nature.
The successful candidate should have 5 to 10 years of progressive experience with structural design. The role of this position will be to serve as a Project Engineer / Manager . In this capacity you would be responsible for the structural design of complex structures, coordinating with supporting staff and client interaction. It is critically important that the candidate be comfortable in serving in a leadership role in this position and can demonstrate their experience doing so. The future expectation is that the successful candidate will take a management and ownership position with the firm.
Must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities listed for Structural Project Engineer and have demonstrated leadership traits in either the Technical or Project Management Path items; Mastery of the technical aspects of one’s discipline; Ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others; Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have a 5-10 years of qualifying experience;
- Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred;
- Structural Engineer license.
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
- Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
