Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.
We’re an innovative office filled with people who are passionate about the intersection of healthcare and technology. We’re rapidly growing our team and are seeking enthusiastic developers to help us build on our Patient Health platform. COVID-19 is changing the world. You will have a direct impact on patients in our healthcare system through your work in this space.
You care deeply about the software you build and its impact on the world.
You write elegant code and communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders as you learn through iterative development cycles.
You are a lifelong learner and software craftsman.
We are building mobile development teams to deliver on the needs of patients. This role is an opportunity to build in a new codebase with minimal legacy code concerns. We aspire to all of the usual industry best practices such as continuous delivery and iterative agile methodologies. We do two-week sprints and rollout our features quickly to a subset of our customers for feedback as they mature.
The Android Patient Health Team is building a new Android app that allow patients to easily:
Participate in telehealth appointments
Refill their prescriptions
View their lab results
Message their doctor
Access a family member’s care information
Check in for an appointment
Download medical forms
Upload insurance information
As a part of this team, you’ll be writing code that constantly improves these experiences for millions of patients. Know that your work matters by building software that makes a difference in the lives of real people.
Day To Day
We give you bandwidth to code. Your main commitment each day is to your team to attend standup and make a plan for the day. Outside of that, we want you doing what you do best – writing effective code that empowers patients. We’ll try our hardest to keep you in the loop on news and updates in the organization as efficiently as possible. We loathe ineffective town halls and staff meetings. If you’re not getting value out of a large meeting, let us know and we’ll work to make it better. Our goal is to set you up for success and then to get out of your way.
Training & Development
We invest in you. We expect all developers to be growing in mastery of their craft. And we provide the resources to help you get there. Book groups are common. Training sessions are common. Each community of practice has a monthly knowledge sharing session to help keep your skills up-to-date, and you’ll be expected to always be learning how to better solve problems in your business and technical domain.
Our Tech Stack
Our new Android development is done in Kotlin. This would be your primary toolset, but we’re open to candidates of any background. Backends are written by other teams in Java hosted in AWS and access by the mobile app via GraphQL.
