Scrum Master – 2642 – Raleigh-Durham, NC

Summary/Objective: The Scrum Master is the driving force behind Agile transformation. The Scrum Master ensures teams are self-organized and empowered to make quick changes in accordance with agile principles. The Scrum Master is empowered to build and manage processes for information exchange. Strategic planning for multiple complex, high-visibility programs is a standard for the Scrum Master; thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Location: RTP, North Carolina

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with leaders to transform and expand the department’s automation footprint with an agile approach
  • Collaborate with QA, Automation and DevOps team members to ensure successful completion, deployment, maintenance, and operations of Cloud Ops solutions
  • Provide groundbreaking support of the development of automated network operation applications and solutions
  • Be a leader with vision for process improvements, strategizing, suggesting creative ideas, and proposing alternative options
  • Assist in transforming the strategy for various Cloud Ops components and suggest tools/technologies for automation frameworks
  • Continually evaluate and evolve the automation strategy, and actively ensure our strategy aligns with customer’s needs both internally and externally
  • Define, implement & automate workflows
  • Excellent ability to resolve conflict within the team

Other Functions:

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers throughout business development and engagement activities
  • While engaging with customers, identify and support the pursuit of business opportunities aligning to customer needs and their requirements as they transform and digitize their businesses
  • Support Account Teams and Services Business Development Managers in the identification and development of new security services businesses
  • Assist in the development of customer proposals and statements of work, accurately scope engagements as required

  • Excel in and understands the automation transformation required to drive customer success and work with multi-functional agile teams to develop an end-to-end strategy that improves Cloud solution delivery
  • Be initiative-driven with the ability to deep dive into the details and connect them back to the overall strategy and objectives
  • Own efforts without explicit direction and look for continual improvement
  • Independently seek out information, tackle conceptual problems, corral resources, and lead collective efforts to drive progress
  • Know how to continually work across internal and external teams to understand nuances to problems and a knack for bringing people together to drive a single, coordinated effort
  • Clearly articulate challenges and present thoughtful solutions at the necessary depth across both multi-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Have broad system-level knowledge, intuitive understanding of system level interactions, and performance trade-offs

Required Education/Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 5-10 years related experience
  • Your experience equals or exceeds 5+ years of technical expertise in one or more areas including cloud, automation, or software development with experience following the agile methodology for fast solution delivery, testing, and value realization
  • 3-4 years of Scrum Master experience
  • Professional PM certification preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile, Scrum or equivalent
  • Experience working on a cloud-based infrastructure
  • Track record of delivering results
  • Passion to accelerate Cloud automation transformation
  • Technical experience and in-depth understanding of operational support including planning, designing, implementing phases
  • Hands-on experience configuring, developing, and deploying cloud and automation technologies
  • Interpret complex technical solutions into easy to understand business language and outcomes
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation abilities along with extraordinary team skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
