Revenue Analyst – Orlando, FL 32836

Job Summary:

To assist the Revenue Director in the identification and maximization of all potential revenue opportunities for assigned hotels. This includes the maintenance of multiple software systems, and report generation from multiple software systems. The Revenue Analyst will learn to identify revenue potential generated by the transient and group market segments as well as the market segmentation within transient and group.

Education & Experience :

  • Hotel front desk and/or reservation experience required – 2 years or more preferred

  • Previous revenue and/or reservations with Marriott preferred

  • High school diploma required

Job Duties and functions (sampling of duties, not complete list):

  • Reports to and supports the Revenue Director

  • Supervisory responsibility of reservation agents

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

  • The ability to communicate and sell strategic decisions to gain optimal business mix.

  • Ability to manage upward with good debate and consensus skills with objectivity.

  • Self directed and motivated.

  • Complete and analyze daily demand reports (PSA, Daily Detail, etc).

  • Complete Group Displacements when needed.

  • Prepare reports for weekly revenue strategy meetings as necessary.

  • Adjust any rate and inventory controls that need to be modified through CRS/GDS/PMS/OTA’s and communicate to the strategy teams.

  • Assist with in implementation of annual strategic pricing, including rate loading.

  • Schedule and analyze market pricing reports to determine pricing opportunities and competitive set compression.

  • Analyze the Star Report for future strategy opportunities.

  • Communicate sales strategy for day, week, month and rolling 12 months.

  • Analyze prior night successes: Did the hotel sell out? Were the right decisions made for overselling?

  • Monitor hotel website, OTA’s and GDS channels for accuracy of rate quoting, restrictions and selling approach

  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
