Looking for a full time Farm and Ranch Hand. Large diversified Ag Production farm of corn, soybeans, and wheat. Also a stocker cattle operation. Located in Bucyrus and Paola, KS just south of Kansas City. Responsibilities include all areas of the farm, but will mainly work w/ the cattle operation. Processing, feeding, and care of cattle on daily basis. During the summer working on the hay crew either running a mower, rake or hay baler. Family like team atmosphere of ten employees that work really well together.

Running equipment to feed, put out hay, running a hay baler
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to assist with repairs if something is broke down
Care of livestock. Processing, tagging, branding and ability to find cattle that need doctored
Able to gather, facilitate and overall good herdsman
willing to work 80 hours a week during the busy season
Operating farm equipment such as tillage, sprayers, harvesters and other farm equipment.
Hauling seed, fertilizer, fuel to and from main location to fields.
Assisting with light equipment maintenance in the shop and field.
Performing general farm labor such as building upkeep, grounds maintenance, etc.
Building Fence and cleaning pens
mowing pastures, spraying weeds ect.
organized in keeping records and inventory numbers for cattle at the ranch.
good communication w/ the team around him on daily operations.
Qualifications
Prior agricultural experience preferred
Cattle experience
Handy man skills like wood working, electrical, wiring, fabricating, welding, metal work, ect. are all great skills for the job
CDL A license or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire
