Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, may take direction from Lead Technologist. Operates imaging equipment to make images of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiological or fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts imaging equipment and determines the proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each image. May prepare patient for x-ray by administering contrast IV and non IV. Technologist focus on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology
  • CA Fluoroscopy within 6 months of hire
  • Amer Reg Radiologic Tech (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support
  • Cert Radiologic Tech-CA (CRT)

Preferred:

  • Three to five years working in an acute care, pediatric environment
  • Venipuncture Certificate
  • Cert Rad Tech-CA Fluoroscopy
