Define quality system standards.
Lead the Quality Engineering Team in support of the plant operations.
Seek the continual improvement of quality processes (productivity and profitability) by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
Track process performance (safety, quality, productivity and costs) indicators; identify problems and set countermeasures by applying Metalsa’s Problem Solving methodology to avoid reoccurrence.
Research and develop new applications (technology) to production processes.
Collaborate in the design of new lines quality systems.
Develops quality processes and provide cost estimations for new business.
Coordinate and/or Lead Meetings with specialty teams for troubleshooting.
Assist product management group on processing, quoting, implementing, launching, and maintaining of engineering chances.
Manage control, documentation of PFMEAs, work instructions, and assets.
Comply with the internal control of its area (audit current practices and update procedures) Attend and respond to internal and external audits.
Comply with Safety, Quality and environmental guidelines and systems that apply to the plant, process or specific areas.
Comply with and supports implementation of MOS and Metalsa Model practices.
Plan and manage daily, weekly, and yearly projects for production.
Educate and Train organization on MOS lean principles and tools such as Standardized Work, Change Over, just in time. etc. in Time, etc.
Process KPl’s follow up. ? Weekly meetings ? KPl’s boards (OEE¿R, OA, MTBFJVITBR, JPH, Frames x people, etc.)

Ensure Plant Design Standards are Maintained
Maintain, Manage, Control Mechanical Drawings
Train and Develop process engineers
Develop strategies to improve production streams
Maintain department goals and accomplishments and present/share as required with internal/external customers
Ensure support for production streams is adequately maintained
Problem analysis – Ensure methods are learned and applied correctly
Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Industrial) or Equivalent experience – Required
Manufacturing experience (Automotive preferred)
ISO/TS 16949 quality system and environment
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, etc.)
Knowledge of the APQP process (advanced productive quality planning)
