Quality Analyst – Senior – Sartell, MN

Accountable for the management of the operational workflows, with the implementation of the systems, solutions and or processes that have been agreed upon and signed off by managers and OMQC to meet client requirements. Audit, Quality Management, Research, Analyzing Information, Reporting, Statistical Analysis, Ensure adherence to regulations and internal controls. Recommend/Create/Implement process improvements. Collaborate with various departments to review information and improve quality.

  • Responsible for supervising employee(s); including hiring, training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure quality by developing best operational practices and documentation to these practices; recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
  • Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
  • Maintain operational quality by the identification of the corporate procedures; implementing these procedures through communication, orientation, training, and coaching; monitor and review procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops organizational strategies by contributing information, from evaluating quality trends and measurements, providing analysis, and recommendations to implement change for continuous improvement.
  • Works to reduce repetitive errors to reduce waste, increasing productivity and profitability by implementing cost-saving actions.
  • Provides management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data collected from the quality forms.
  • Enhance organizational quality by accepting ownership for the continual success and maintenance of current standard business practices, as well as exploring opportunities to add/implement new business processes as they are needed.
  • Supports external auditors by coordinating information requirements and researching materials.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protects corporate assets by establishing/adhering to compliance standards; development of continual improvements to the internal control structure.

Quality Process Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the collection of the Quality Forms on a daily basis
  • Enters Quality Form detail into database in timely manner
  • Follows up on issues as they occur
    • Identify root cause
    • Work across all department if needed
    • Implement new procedures if necessary
  • Monitors the ‘end of line’ and alerts management when additional inspections may be required
  • Reviews ‘end of line’ processes and who will be responsible to do the daily inspections
  • Trains staff on how to complete, inspect and enter packages for ‘end of line’ inspections
  • Works, together with production floor, to create a ‘comfort level’ for bringing issues to your attention
  • Develops a monthly report identifying issues ‘by type’, and works with managers to reduce or mitigate the issues
  • Will be a resource for all departments on quality and process
  • Develops new workflows as new business requirements are added or changed
  • Works with individuals performing the tasks to implement/reinforce best practices
  • Maintains current workflows and update as required
  • Develops an annual report to show improvement and/or areas that need attention
  • Reviews external non-conformances to point to any issues internally that may need improvement/revision
  • Sends Management team members quarterly breakdown of external non-conformances for their areas
  • Maintains database and develops reports identifying accuracy for various areas/departments
  • Collaborates with both small and large groups
  • Understand the basics of ISO 9001.2015
  • Analyzes information to assist in problem solving
  • Builds a base with employees to create a positive atmosphere for continuous learning
  • Must have a clear understanding of the entire workflow for the facility, including Client Service, Print Production, Fulfillment, Mail, and Shipping/Receiving
  • Yearly responsibilities
    • Update templates in SharePoint for monthly worksheets both Grove City and Sartell
    • Update templates for Digital and Mailing to feed monthly worksheets.
    • Update all formulas in monthly worksheets
    • Update scale stickers (GRV and SRT) _ work with Rudy digital.
    • Update all the quantities in the Tour Guide book
    • Yearly Management review
  • End of month activity
    • reporting on internal nonconformance’s – Sartell & St. Cloud
    • Reporting to Operations Compliance team
    • Review monthly issues with Client Services and Production Service managers – review reporting.
    • Review digital print issues, to determine trending issues and work with Supervisor/Manager to resolve
  • ANOC – perform audits on all inbound materials, outbound kits (log audit information), lead post mortem across SRT & GRV
  • Conduct “audits” as required to determine course of action with quality issues such as bad envelope stock, incorrect item spec, etc. – determine course of action to correct.
  • Oversite of workflow practices to ensure operator accountability for accuracy (process management)
  • Apply self-inspection accuracy methods during staging of components/products (accuracy accountability)
  • Embed self-inspection accuracy methods into product manufacturing (before/during/after)
  • Provide product samples to OCQA for approved specialized product assessments (product collection)
  • Perform end of line product inspections as an error detection/correction tool (stop error escape)
  • Perform requested targeted product inspections (approved by management)
  • Provide error research to support operational improvements (inspection results)
  • End of Line – Serve as SME and administrator for the recording and reporting tool.
    • Monitor, add, delete employees
    • Validate the errors on end of line daily basis
    • Review the errors for all facilities and provide approval for when monthly report can be generated.
  • Record QR forms daily for internal Nonconformance’s – Quality SharePoint site
    • Diagnose issue – SO41, WO41, DPR drive to view file or EJT, Job log
    • Follow up if issue warrants with the correct group.



  • Bachelors degree in Quality Management or equivalent combination of education and work experience


  • 5+ years managing and/or leading a Quality Management (Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Quality Management, Packaging and Production Knowledge, Process Improvement)
  • Must be proficient with MS-Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Visio, SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards
  • Membership or participation in professional-related organizations (such as ASQ)
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma – DMAIC Approach or other process improvement methods
