Program Manager – Powertrain – Shelby Twp, MI

SUMMARY:

Program Manager oversees functional machines and tooling for powertrain components utilizing standards, specifications and line up information presented by the Engineering Manager, Supervisor or Leader.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for managing, tracking, leading and supporting projects and program activities
  • Assists with on time launch and customer support as required
  • Acts as primary interface to customer
  • In charge of initiating, maintaining and publishing open issues list
  • Work with manufacturing departments to address issues, improve processes and quality
  • Willingness to travel, domestic and internationally, as needed to support customers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and use of Industry Engineering Standards for construction and clarification of assembly drawing
  • Knowledge and use of Industry Standards for safety and ergonomics.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial technology used as a tool for creation of designs
  • Must have knowledge of automotive powertrain components and assembly and test techniques
  • Must be experienced in program management
