SUMMARY: * Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of a prescribed manufacturing area. Responsible for safety, quality, and productivity. Is an active participant in Continuous Improvement, employee involvement and equal employment opportunity systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Communication Conduct group meetings. Trains or supervises the training of new employees. Administer policies and procedures. Liaison between departments or groups. * Quality Develops, communicates and enforces quality standards. Ensure quality of materials and workmanship. Monitor, report and correct variation beyond standards in any activity. * Materials Ensure efficient location of materials. Monitor scrap for undue waste. Prepare reject tags for buyers. Assist in quarterly inventory. Maintain tool inventory. * Continuous Improvement Is an active leader and coach to those supervised to constantly, strive for improvement in quality of every activity. * Staffing Responsible for personnel issues such as hiring, discipline, transfers, promotions and termination’s. Schedule work assignment to maximize production efficiency. * Leadership and Safety Model for positive behavior and attitude. Monitor and train personnel on safety issues. Coordinate employee work schedules. Handle employee confrontations with respect and consistency. Handle other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by the area.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Equivalent experience Certificates / Certifications Required/Preferred
Functional Experience 2 – 5 Years
Describe Experience Required: Mfg. experience
Management Experience 5 – 7 Years
