Job Title: Production Manager Department: Operations

Reports To: FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

SUMMARY:
Manages and oversees all daily assembly activities; ensures that these activities are performed in a timely, cost-effective manner consistent with established procedures and requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Plans, organizes, and directs daily assembly activities to meet or exceed established goals in a cost-effective manner.
Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis
Performs workflow analysis and develops improved methods for the assembly team.
Coordinates with managers and supervisors to establish assembly and quality control standards.
Coordinates with other departments to resolve all assembly related customer issues.
Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and
profitability of the assembly team’s activities.
Implements and maintains DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards.
Supports safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
Coordinates to address organizational needs such as additional equipment and maintenance.
Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees;
Cultivates a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business
ownership.
Ensures that all assembly supplies are on hand and available at all times.
Prepares all required reports and correspondence as necessary.
Manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
Two to four years related experience showing proven leadership and business skills
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities to include projects and daily assembly workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time and stand and walk occassionally. The associate frequently is required to talk or hear. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms. Work will require frequent use of computer, telephone, and general office equipment.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occassionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment. The noise level ranges from quiet to moderate. Environment may be warm or cool, depending on weather and other factors. Some exposure to production environment.

SCHEDULE:
Hours depend on business and department needs. All positions are subject to overtime as needed. Overtime can be scheduled by adding additional days to the scheduled days for the week or by extending the hours worked. See a supervisor for information on overtime worked in a particular department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job supervises all of production.
