The Private Client Sales Manager position will support the Director of Concierge Sales within the Merchandising group. This role will be responsible the sourcing of $6M+ in business annually. Must be highly motivated, and results driven, possessing superior wine knowledge and a passion to convey that enthusiasm to customers and direct reports, resulting in sales. They will be responsible for creating and executing a sales program designed to appeal to our highest spend customers who collect and enjoy luxury wine and spirits. They are expected to stay on top of current trends to anticipate customer needs, offering appropriate items in a timely manner. In addition, they will be responsible for working with the Buying Team, Market Management Team, Supply Chain and/or Store teams to assure a seamless order/delivery process. This role will have some direct client management that will require communication on a regular basis via phone, text and email. Attending outside events and some travel may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a sales team of 4-6 client managers
  • Develop a comprehensive clienteling strategy and program for top customers
  • Develop sales budget for Concierge Sales group
  • Manage communication between stores and Concierge Sales
  • Manage communication to customers regarding billing and delivery
  • Track orders from placement to delivery to ensure successful pick up by customer
  • Actively develop new and cultivate existing customer relationships
  • Analyze the business and create action plans for gaps to plan
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple departments
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

  • Strong fine wine knowledge beyond the Total Wine & More portfolio
  • Sales experience
  • A proven track record in customer service
  • Excel and HTML experience preferred
  • Experience in inventory management

Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:

  • WSET Advanced, Certified Sommelier or higher
  • 5-7 years’ work experience
  • 3-4 years of management experience
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt to change
  • The ability to manage multi-projects seamlessly
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce results within an entrepreneurial environment
  • Organized record keeping and accurate data entry
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Creative and solutions-driven thinker
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work cross-functionally as a team player
