People Business Partner
The People Business Partner will enhance leadership effectiveness throughout the business by coaching our leaders to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes. This professional will Identify needs, develop solutions, and execute on programs that drive workforce engagement, culture transformation, retention, diversity and inclusion. This individual will also play a key role in enabling strategic workforce planning, including proactively recognizing trends, developing actions to strengthen the talent base, attaining operational and structural efficiencies, and implementing development plans to address skill/competence gaps.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide People business partnership service to the relevant business function, ensuring all business cycle activities are in place, delivered and measured effectively.
Work proactively with the relevant business area leadership/senior management teams to support and foster the Company culture around Making Amazing Happen.
With a clear understanding of the direction and plan for the relevant business function, work in partnership with the People VPs to implement the People strategy and business area people plan. Responsible for highlighting any local challenges that may occur (legal or cultural) and working with stakeholders to mitigate where possible.
Utilize appropriate data and resources to provide insight and make recommendations to proactively support People and business function agenda
Contribute and provide local input into to the development of the people plan. Ensure effective implementation of any local elements of the people plan.
Actively promote the Group People activities with the relevant business function e.g Talent review, leadership capability and employee engagement initiatives
Working with the functional leadership team ensure effective local organizational design (OD) changes are aligned and any organizational structures fit with the group OD principles and deliver suitable commercial outcomes.
Work collaboratively with the Centres of Expertise (talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development) to ensure expert advice and guidance on specialist areas in addition to enabling excellent delivery of People business cycle programmes and priorities
Ensure all local People policies and processes are compliant with local legislation and are aligned to our wider People strategy and practices
Bring in best practice from other organizations and facilitate the sharing of good practice across the Group
Be a valued contributor to the Americas People team as well as the Global People team.
Develop personal and professional skills through continuous professional development and keep up-to-date with global and local legislation.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required
.Essential Qualifications and Skills
Proven generalist HR experience showing strong business alignment, ideally within a customer led organization
Strong working knowledge of US employment law and experienced in handling complex employee relations issues
Good working knowledge of HR best practice approaches
Experience of running and delivering projects
Proven track record of developing effective relationships and managing expectations of multiple stakeholders
Able to demonstrate impact of HR initiatives on the business either commercially and/or operationally
Ability to deliver simple solutions to complex problems
Demonstrate the ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organization to influence behavioral change
Comfortable with data, analysis and the ability to interrogate data to drive insight
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and across teams to ensure effective delivery of the strategy
Experience in working in a matrix environment preferred
Experience in working in a global business preferred
