Lorain County JVS is a Career and Technical Education Training Center. It consists of a public high school for students in grades 9-12 and the Adult Career Center which offers training and educational opportunities for adults.
SALARY (Same Assignment):
$108 per day: day 1 – day 14 (missing zero days)
$130 per day: day 15 – day 59 (missing zero days)
$233.29 per day: day 60 – last day of assignment (missing zero days)
BENEFITS (After 60 days in Same Assignment, Missing Zero Days):
Sick leave – 15 days per year non accumulative
Personal leave – 3 days per year non accumulative
Work Hours: 7:40-2:50.
Successful applicant will be assigned an office on campus as well as the technology necessary to teach asynchronous mathematics.
Responsible for planning, delivering, and grading, asynchronous online lessons for the following 6 math courses:
Applicant will be expected to host synchronous office hours daily with students and parents to provide assistance as needed. Must correspond with students, parents and JVS staff members on a daily basis as well as request, schedule and conduct parent meetings via both Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
The instructor will manage the courses through CANVAS LMS. Instructor must also have the ability to use Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Powerschool and Public School Works.

Will report to and work in the building daily
Proven ability to work with multiple levels of personnel including administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and high school students
Proven technology related skills, including Canvas, Microsoft Office 356, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook, Powerschool and Public School Works.

Desire to motivate and assist young people in setting educational, social and behavioral goals

Experience teaching mathematics in a remote environment
Verified previous teaching experience
Strong teaching related skills
Ability to develop curriculum, knowledge of instructional techniques
