Position Description

Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is a medical destination providing many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. The Einstein Occupational Health Team provides services to employees of the Einstein Health Network. In the role of nurse practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical treatment to patients with work-related injuries and illness and performing post-offer and annual examinations as requested.
  • Working within the scope of a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Assessing work-related injuries and making accurate diagnoses and prescribing appropriate treatment within scope of practice and in collaboration with physician
  • Appropriately assigning physical limitations that promote healing in the injury area, and communicating these to the appropriate employer representative
  • Case management of work-related injuries
  • Performing clinical assessment and ordering appropriate labs for all pre-employment examinations and assigning restrictions/accommodations as needed
  • Providing individual education and counseling for illness prevention, health maintenance and crisis intervention
  • Prescribing and administering medications appropriately and according to prevailing regulations
  • Providing services to support employee health infectious disease surveillance programs
  • Demonstrating knowledge of all occupational health treatment protocols and following them as written
  • Participating in occupational health surveillance/diagnostic evaluation programs
  • Communicating findings as necessary to assure continuity of care through accurate EMR documentation and verbal report
  • This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) adolescents age 16 and older and adults in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:

  • MSN, Board Certification, and successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
  • Acute injury management required
  • Occupational health or Emergency medicine preferred
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license/certification required
  • Current certification in BCLS
  • Proficient in assessment skills, pharmacology, wound and musculoskeletal injury management required
