NPI Program Manager – Redmond, WA

As a New Product Introduction Program Manager (NPI PM), you are responsible for defining and scaling the hardware supply chain through the product development life cycle in order to deliver new and innovative products on time, meeting the quality, volume and cost needs of the business. This individual contributor role will be part of a small team accountable for significantly leveraging supplier capabilities to meet business and product goals. Through effective cross boundary collaboration, you will work to proactively prevent and resolve issues in the sub-tier supply chain to ensure that our end products are manufactured and delivered at the highest quality levels possible.
The NPI PM is a core team member of the product development lifecycle; from inception of an idea through delivering high volume best in class supply chain solutions.
This highly collaborative role works with and aligns a cross-functional, cross organizational team to create, scale and execute the operational plan. Key partner organizations may include product development, sourcing, test, manufacturing operations, DFX engineering, customer care and demand planning. You will be supported to quickly establish credibility, learn the launch process, seek out and prioritize information from subject matter experts and weigh potential solutions to obstacles associated with the delivery of the program objectives. As such, you will be expected to have strong program management skills, have a desire to work at a fast paced collaborative environment, and be able to contribute to products as they are brought to mass production at our offshore manufacturing facilities.

Accountable for the planning and execution of product launches in a contract manufacturing product model.
Define supply chain and manage project schedules to deliver operational readiness and product delivery.
Identify and manage risks associated with meeting technical and operational targets for our sub tier and tier 1 assemblies and components.
Have in depth understanding of the product technical requirements, milestones deliverables and interdependencies for establishing an accurate and effective project infrastructure.
Leverage experience and engineering skills to solve problems, fill gaps and achieve objectives through a cross functional team.
Responsible for effective communication and escalation of risks and dependencies while ensuring timely decisions are being made.
Scope technical and business problems and processes by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, and outcomes.
Be comfortable interacting with senior management, highlighting risks and providing recommendations to support product level decisions.
Transition operational responsibilities to the Sustaining Operations team after achieving launch targets.

BS in engineering or supply chain management or related work experience
Qualifications desired:
5+ years of industry experience in Manufacturing and/or Project Management
Recommended disciplines: Program Management, Product Development, Process Development, Sourcing, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering
Additional experience and knowledge in consumer products, product development process, working with offshore manufacturing partners & suppliers and new product introduction
>20% international travel required
