We are seeking a self-starter, seasoned professional who engages in the entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on helping trusted advisors and partners build trust, make connections and, most importantly, set the stage for new business opportunities. This opportunity will be focused on driving new opportunities through nurturing new relationships, strategic field engagements and leveraging lead generations. This role is responsible for cultivating relationships with partners, such as Microsoft and identifying key programs related to funding, rebates and other methods to grow market presence. This individual will serve as the “Client Executive” to broaden relationships and provide value and impact while pursuing new business opportunities in line with company strategies.

Essential Duties/Functions

  • Working with BDO leaders, develop a comprehensive Microsoft lead generation program leveraging tools, funding and key field relationships.
  • Leads execution of program across focused regions in the US
  • Develops strategy and leads execution to enable the appropriate leaders in relevant markets to educate them on the value proposition and sales aspects of the Microsoft program
  • Supports the selling efforts in the focused markets by leveraging tools, tactics and campaigns created with Microsoft as the tip of the spear into new and existing clients
  • Responsible for lead generation and new client acquisition acquired through Microsoft go to market program
  • Leverages national marketing and programs as available and follows available consistency guidelines, including processes, lead generation activities, firm brochures, proposal templates and pipeline reports and processes
  • Qualifies opportunities and builds relationships with key executives and stakeholders in support of the growth of BDO’s strategic plan
  • Serves as the executive leader within certain, top-rated clients with the goal to broaden relationships and expand services
  • Leverage existing professional networks to promote BDO and identify new lead generation opportunities
  • Leads, facilitates monthly meetings with partners; develops agenda, follows up with members to obtain meeting feedback and effectiveness of key programs overall strategy
  • Makes recommendations for the effectiveness of the meetings, provide feedback to team to ensure effectiveness
  • Customizes go to market content and implementation strategy to broaden business development strategies, needs and objectives that are critical to our continued partner success
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of partner content, utilizing effective consulting and delivery skills, and latest knowledge of business environment
  • Creates visuals and visual support media effectively to disseminate for consumption and usage across practices
  • Monitors and reports on the results of all lead generation programs for assigned territory
  • Consults with partners and prospects to determine their needs, recommending consulting & solutions
  • When appropriate, conducts sales calls with business development team
  • Contributes business development thought leadership, tools and resources to the broader national community



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field, preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required


  • Ten (10) or more years of business development experience in professional services, required
  • Experience in leading executive meetings, and follow up with partners to drive new business, required
  • Proven track record of developing business relationships and connections within the Partner community (ie. Microsoft), C-level executives (CEOs, CFOs, Board of directors, etc.) and referral sources, required
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling, polished presentations to both line leadership and senior corporate executives within target companies, required
  • A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm and integrity, required
  • Business development & marketing experience in IT consulting services, business advisory services and/or various technology industries, preferred


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, required
  • Client relationship management (CRM) experience, required
  • Microsoft Dynamics preferred


  • Available and willing to travel approximately 35% of the time required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in the development, management and execution of sales and marketing processes including marketing and business development planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, sales strategy and development
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively manage change
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to understand and communicate BDO’s business, marketplace and value proposition
  • Knowledge of contact management software including updating, maintenance and list generation
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
