Member Services Specialist

The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, self-motivated, detail oriented and courteous to everyone who visits or calls the association. We are a high energy association with over 1600 members. The ideal candidate has the knowledge and ability to navigate membership databases, prioritize tasks, pay attention to details for accuracy and able to handle working with all types of personalities.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, trainers, sponsors and the public to facilitate a positive relationship
  • Serve as point in processing applications, creating invoices, processing payments and trouble shoot to resolve any membership issues
  • Plan, coordinate and implement all components of educational classes from the association
  • Create and answer emails in a professional and timely fashion
  • Create and implement communication strategies to deliver messages to the membership, to include but not limited to, maintaining the website, creating emails, social media posts, and the creation of professional flyers and promotional material on behalf of the association
  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate membership database and provide accurate reports
  • Oversee all aspects of the membership accounts to include the creation of the annual dues billing, processing orders and maintaining accounts payable to be cleared within a reasonable amount of time

Qualifications and Skills Needed for Position:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Membership association experience is a plus
  • Formal customer service training is a plus
  • Reliable and resourceful and able to trouble shoot effectively
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be able to work in a team environment but also independently
  • Possess the ability to work with, and adapt to, all personality types
  • A strong work ethic and adaptable to change
  • The capability to set and manage multiple priorities when multiple demands are present
  • Attention to the need for accuracy
  • Experience in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite Applications, CRM Membership databases and various social media platforms is a must
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions, multi-task and establish priorities effectively

Hours & Location:

  • Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Our office is located in Springfield, Tennessee
  • There might be a few times outside of normal business hours


  • This is an salary position in the range of $40,000 – $45,000 depending on experience
  • 5 Paid Vacation days in the first year, and increasing days with longevity
  • 40 Hours of Sick Leave per year, does not accrue
  • 10 Paid holidays per year
  • Up to $325.00 paid towards the association’s health insurance for the employee

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year

Job Duties:

  • Answer incoming customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products, services, and policies
  • Record customer information within our customer service database
  • Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns
  • Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company's customer service policies
  • Other duties as requested
