Marketing Resource Manager
Role
The Marketing Resource Manager oversees management of the proposal coordination team in Arup’s San Francisco, Oakland, Bogota, and Seattle offices to deliver a best-in-class Winning Work process. The manager works closely with the office’s Leadership team from initial research/data gathering, pursuit strategy development, tracking of data and activities in CRM system, through completion of submission, reporting, and leading knowledge sharing workshops. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and respond to challenging deadlines.
Experience
Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant, high-quality proposals within a complex business environment. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing a team and their schedule. Experience running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, working with content management systems, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, coordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production and delivery of the completed proposal is crucial.
Core Responsibilities

  • Managing and supervising the proposal coordinator team in all four offices
  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals in line with our office’s winning work strategy
  • Communicating with and influencing senior level staff
  • Coaching proposal teams in persuasive writing and proposal best practices
  • Ensuring document management is in line with company brand standards
  • Engaging with regional resource manager team to ensure efficient resource utilization

Reporting Line
Proposal Manager will report to the office’s marketing leader and will work extensively with the office’s leadership and technical teams.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years’ prior experience in the A/E/C industry (ideally with Infrastructure experience)
Strong time management / prioritization skills
Strong written English language skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent public speaking skills and ability to create and deliver workshops
Experience with proposal design and automation software, and CRM systems
Self-starter and strong skills in implementing and executing initiatives
Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience with Microsoft CRM and other graphic programs a plus.
CPSM, PMP, or other relevant industry certification not required, but a plus
