Marketing and Communications Specialist/Orthopedics – West Chester, PA 19380

Job Description:

This Marketing professional will provide creative and strategic leadership to develop, implement and manage all marketing and public relations activities: digital, print, social media, traditional channels, website, and event planning. This individual will also be responsible for Trade Show booth displays and coordination. Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic.


Social Media, Digital Communications, Website and Traditional Media Channels

  • Manage website updates and company photography.

  • Provide monitoring and messaging on all major social media platforms.

  • Must have experience with television media. Pitch TV exposure and appearances for the President/CEO.

  • Promote featured events in various social media platforms, digital communications and company websites.

  • Complete all projects within scheduled time frames.

    Print Publications and Communications

  • Lead and direct collateral material design and production, web design and development, search engine visibility tactics, measurement and implementing e-mail marketing campaigns.

  • Manage designers and vendors in order to manage the design, production and fulfillment of marketing materials.

  • Assist with basic graphic design on various projects.

  • Write and edit marketing and communication pieces.

  • Manage clipping file.

  • Inventory stock of all collateral material.

  • Create and approve content for all internal communications.

  • Cultivate relationships with reporters and publishers, responding to media inquiries, pitching stories and writing press releases/media advisories.


  • Integrate marketing, communications, and branding in Acero’s strategic plan.

  • Lead the development and execution of brand compliance initiatives to ensure compliance among employees and external vendors.

  • Support sales staff.

  • Event planning and management.

  • Attend events as needed to provide assistance with administrative help, photography, etc.

  • Responsible for Trade Show coordination and keeping display booths up-to-date and brand consistent.

  • Maintain materials and equipment required for Trade Show events and demonstrations.

Required Experience:


  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Public Relations or related business field

  • At least three (3) years Marketing and Public Relations experience with working experience in applying the principles and practices of marketing

  • Marketing and sales awareness and experience is required

  • Required communications skills are comprised of written, verbal and presentation capabilities

  • Strong writing, editing and proofing skills

  • Excellent verbal skills
  • Must be highly proficient in the most current versions of Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and the ability to use the Internet for research

  • Experience developing presentations and displays; formatting electronic communications pieces

  • Multitasking and organizational skills are a must. Flexibility to adapt workload to an evolving environment

  • Demonstrated competencies in: Excellent project management skills: ability to plan, coordinate, and execute special projects over the course of several months

  • Outstanding time management and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve goals and objectives

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and have the flexibility to work after hours on assignments and events as needed

  • Extremely intuitive with problem solving and resolutions

  • Excellent ability to multi task
