Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to supervise approximately 10-15 union represented (UAW) workers performing sheet metal fabrication, assembly, paint, weld, and tool fabrication on first shift. Additional supervisory support may be required for mechanical areas such as manual and CNC machining processes on first or second shift. The Area Supervisor is responsible for managing Quality, Schedule and Cost goals for multiple programs. Duties include:
Support development and implementation of process improvements. Responsible for achieving target zero metrics.
Energize team members and hold each accountable for performance.
Supervise multiple manufacturing disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that coordinates daily activities with Production Control, Production Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering, and other manufacturing support functions.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance
Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Experienced user of Microsoft Office Software
Working knowledge of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, and/or Time Accounting
Must be able to read engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to mechanics / technicians
Must have good conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful working relationships
Must be able to work in fast paced, flexible environment
Motivational skills along with the ability to energize teams is considered a plus
Experience working in a union environment
Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and cost reduction with an understanding of business metrics to drive performance
Experience working with SAP
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Knowledge of IS09001 and I40001 Process and Audit preparedness
Previous experience in machining environment using manual and/or N/C controlled machines and systems
