Manager – Capital Management Risk Advisor

The Capital Management Risk Advisor Manager will independently perform and manage assessment of Finance related risks and ensure sustainability of related processes primarily supporting Capital-related processes, including CCAR DFAST Stress Testing, Regulatory Capital calculation, reporting, and Capital Forecasting. The Capital Management Risk Advisor Manager must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment balancing competing priorities. The Capital Management Risk Advisor Manager must have knowledge of and experience with Credit Risk Management, Finance, Treasury and Regulatory Reporting to be able to perform assessment of compliance requirements, manage issue management, change management and risk assessment activities; monitor controls and testing; drive audit and regulatory examination preparation and response; and manage risk reporting. This position requires direct interactions with a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts to evaluate risk, ensure sufficient controls, and to provide risk insights to Finance leadership. The Capital Management Risk Advisor Manager must be experienced with developing and delivering Senior Management presentations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand financial risks, regulations, regulatory guidance and other requirements. Monitor financial industry laws and regulations and provide risk expertise in supporting a diverse group of business leaders

  • Ensure comprehensive assessment of financial processes and manage the documentation and assessment of operational and compliance risks. Drive the design of controls which demonstrate sustainable compliance in a way that enables efficient business processes

  • Proactively report risks and issues to Finance management, including issue status and remediation. Ensure well managed implementation of changes, supporting prioritization, execution and control enhancement

  • Manage proactive preparation for and support audits and exam completion, influence management responses, and ensure timeliness of remediation and closure

  • Leverage tools such as swim lane process maps, critical-to-quality trees, performance metrics, control plans and Control Self Assessments to support strong governance

  • Develop data and content for Senior Management reporting, and support Executive and Board reporting

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in Financial Services Risk Management

  • At least 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance

  • At least 4 years of experience with document management, spreadsheet and presentation tools

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in risk management

  • At least 4 years experience in finance or accounting

  • Compliance or Risk Management Certifications

  • At least 3 years of experience with a Compliance Management Program (CMP) framework

  • At least 3 years of experience in process management, or in improvement, or in design or a combination

  • At least 2 years of people management experience
