Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a motivated, quality driven, and highly detail orientated Exterior Finisher Team Lead. The primary role of this candidate will be to lead a diverse team of aircraft exterior finish technicians focusing on quality and a strong attention to detail. This person will be responsible for leading employees through all exterior finishing processes to ensure projects are completed on time without compromising Cirrus quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Drive towards continuous improvement and development of standards, and performance of exterior finish team.
- Ensure safe work environment and culture.
- Provide employees with guidance on all exterior finish processes.
- Provide daily reports to shop supervisor.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing aircraft for paint/ detail.
- Maintain tool control and upkeep for all work station.

Education and/or Experience:
A successful Exterior Finish Technician will have 5+ years’ experience with exterior finishing process such as body working experience, prime and paint process, automotive or aircraft detailing (sanding and buffing clear coats) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Exterior Finish Technicians will have many of the following experiences: Extensive exterior body/paint/finishing experience, direct experience working in the automotive finishing career field, vast at home experience finishing automobiles, watercraft or aircraft, and/or specific technical training/schooling in the body/paint/finishing field. Job duties can include sanding preparation and finishing of various aircraft surfaces such as; composite preparation, surface filler preparation and shaping, adding and smoothing sealants, light primer/paint application, buffing and detail, adding vinyl striping, etc. Please detail any and all related experience on your application and/or resume.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
