ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Resolve issues, questions, concerns for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
  • Train employees and customers on software programs
  • Support multiple clients via remote (i.e. virtually, by phone, messaging) sessions
  • Monitor daily performance of computer systems
  • Handle customer and employee technical issues to completion
  • Systemize troubleshooting processes and procedures
  • Walk customer through problem-solving process
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Provide technical assistance and maintenance with computer hardware and software
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Install computer peripherals for users and ensure complete configuration and any necessary training
  • Able to troubleshoot onsite, remote; new client issues with 3rd Party vendors in a professional manner.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Document issues and solutions for future reference
  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
  • Accountable for maintaining administration files relevant to projects
  • Adheres to company policies, procedure and practices
  • Works and interacts with all employees, customers and vendors in a way that models and supports the ProTek Integration Company Values
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass a drug screen & pre-employment physical
  • Must pass a background check
  • Ability to lift, pull, carry, push up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer and speaking on the phone
  • Possess and maintain valid driver’s license
  • Must have firm understanding of
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of systems concept like VLANs, Routing, VOIP, Firewall, Ports is a must
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years experience in IT/Technical Support
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field
  • Knowledge of software and systems: Hikvision, Avigilion, Milestone, Millenium, dsx, kantech, Exacqvision, Zoom, Sophos UTM, Sonicwall, Ubiquiti

WORK LOCATION & CONDITIONS

  • Irvine, California
  • 99.7% of the work will be performed at ProTek’s office facility where work space conditions will vary
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and re-position all parts of user workstations, network appliances, and printers
  • There will be consecutive hours spent sitting in front of a computer monitor, utilizing a keyboard and mouse
  • Some work at times might need to be done from home and will necessitate a dedicated quiet work space with internet access and Internet port available for work phone (Provided by ProTek) and laptop to remote client PC’s and servers is also necessary
  • On occasion you will need to be able to drill equipment into concrete, drywall, desk. Work on ladders.
