Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager performs duties required to ensure the efficient operation of the SCPC wide computer and information network, particularly as it relates to connectivity, cabling, and wiring issues.
The SCPC Information Technology Department manages a SCPC wide computer and information network that provides various forms of connectivity and software systems to approximately 20 remote sites. These systems include point of sale, VoIP telephone system, fuel distribution, purchasing, attendance/payroll, CCTV cameras, and general day to day computer programs. Additionally, the main servers for the network are housed and maintained at SCPC HQ. This network requires constant updating, adjustment, and maintenance that includes connectivity, cable, and wiring issues most often in the field and at or between the remote sites noted.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field required and 10 years structural cabling and telephone and voicemail installation experience as well as experience with wide area networks (WAN). 5 years office management and 2 years security camera installation experience required. Must have Telephone and voicemail certifications to include but not limited to Meridian Information Products (Norstar), X11 Stations Moves, Adds and changes Certificate, Meridian Mail System and Applications Administration (voice mail), Certificate, Meridian 1 digital Trunk Interface, Installation and Maintenance Certificate (phone lines), Meridian 1 x11 release 23 Certificate (customer service), Compact ICS 5.0 Hardware Overview, Installation and Programming, Switchview database maintenance. Cabling and fiber certifications to include but not limited to Hubbell Premise Wiring Certified Installer (cat5 and cat6 cabling), Siemon Company Certified Installer (cat5 and cat6 cabling), Siecor Fiber Optic Installation Certificate, and Coaxial cable Installation. Must have experience in Cisco Unity Voip and Cisco Messaging phone system. Must have experience in security camera fundamentals and installation and technical working knowledge of computers as it relates to connectivity. Ability to program and troubleshoot Ruckus wireless point to point bridge. Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous manner in person and on the phone. Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays and if required report to work for emergency situations. Must have a valid driver’s license.
