INTERIM DIGITAL LEARNING SPECIALIST (DLS)
Reports to: Coordinator of Library Services
General Summary: The Digital Learning Specialist (DLS) implements a robust weekly technology special for students to provide learning opportunities aligned to digital literacy standards. The DLS also collaborates with teachers to build robust research projects for students. The DLS maintains the library collection and digital resources.
Supports a library services framework that incorporates literacy and instructional technology to enhance and accelerate student learning.
Coordinates technology special in order to enhance student knowledge and skills consistent with ISTE Standards for Students and AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner.
Manages operations for the Media Center.
Communicates effectively with Coordinator of Library Services, Chief Technology Officer, school principal, and teachers.
Completes other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of digital literacy standards
Experience engaging students in robust learning opportunities
