Job Specific Duties-Transport Analysis: Carefully considers the needs of the patients when selecting the mode of transportation and communicates effectively-Transport Education: Patiently and clearly explains reason for transport to the patient prior to the transit-Radiation Safety: Follows Radiation Protection Policies to avoid unnecessary exposure to the public and to self-Organization: Maintains a clean well-stocked and organized work area and notifies appropriate personnel when stock needs replenishing.-Quality Control: Verifies the identity of the patient and ensures that the correct patient is transported as evidenced by no more than two documented occurrences per year-Equipment Safety: Demonstrates proper/safe handling and maneuverability of patient transportation equipment and patient related equipment; Shows competence in oxygen tank exchange-Transport Guidelines: Routinely transports patients independently.-Professionalism: Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules. Practices teamwork and adheres to Standards of Behavior.-Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by management.Physical and Behavioral Requirements- Physical requirements include occasional sitting- Frequent stooping, kneeling, constant standing, walking, and reaching- Heavy physical force is required (exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently- Visual acuity for accurate reading of various documents, reports, records, and manuals.- Ability to hear and speak is required to effectively communicate with patients and staff
