We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager at our corporate office in Somerset. The Human Resources manager will work directly with the Director of Human Resources to maintain and enhance the Company in its HR policies, programs, and practices. As an integral team member, the HR Manager will need to develop strong working relationships with employees at all levels. Responsibilities of the HR manager will include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, on/off-boarding, training, payroll, benefits, and serving as a liaison between employees and management, and employees and the Company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support HR Director in communicating to employees, providing training, and enforcing company processes
  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting, job posting, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, conducting interviews, checking references, etc.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers, and assist with new-hire procedures: including orientation, creating employee files, administering, collecting, and filing new-hire paperwork
  • Maintain personnel files for active, termed, and archived employees
  • Help ensure payroll process are accurate
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary issues, investigations, and termination counseling
  • Assist with benefits administration, claims, change reporting, approving invoices for payment
  • Assist with execution of employee termination procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns as they relate to HR and the Company
  • Support special projects as needed within the HR, legal, and compliance departments
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with other areas of the organization both on and offshore
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources related role
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and practices
  • Ability to regularly and responsibly work with sensitive confidential material
  • Experience with employee relations and performance management
  • Ability to work both independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Some travel required (about 25%)
