HR Events Coordinator 51 reviews, a rapidly-growing online plumbing, heating, and HVAC supplier, seeks an Internal Events Coordinator to add to our Human Resources team! This individual will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing our employee focused initiatives while also continuously striving to enhance our internal engagement offerings.

Due to the circumstances regarding COVID-19, we are searching for someone who can currently perform this job remotely UNTIL they can transition into our Melville office when it reopens in June.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary: $45,000/year

Location: Melville, NY


  • Organize and plan company-sponsored initiatives including events, tournaments, and activities
  • Communicate information about events and activities to all appropriate parties
  • Manage, oversee, and attend events on the day of, including setting up the event, welcoming attendees, breaking down the event, and occasionally hosting events
  • Organize and attend one event per month outside of normal work hours
  • Perform routine evaluations of activities and events and continually seek opportunities for enhancement, efficiencies, and increased participation
  • Maintain and organize the company events calendar
  • Research vendors and organizations to work with
  • Propose new initiatives and execute proposals once decisions are made
  • Track and monitor event expenses
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by the Engagement Team Lead and/or the Human Resources Captain

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient public speaking skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally, with co-workers, and externally, with vendors and members of other organizations
  • Ability to develop timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
