General Warehouse Laborer All-Clad Metalcrafters All-Clad Metalcrafters 12 reviews

Entry Level Metal Worker
Newly hired employees are typically hired into our labor pool. Three of our six cells utilize labor pool employees to complete varied tasks such as: assembling sheet metal, polishing and cleaning cookware, folding boxes, and stacking boxes onto skids in specific order. Most of our jobs require standing on concrete for up to 8 hours, minimal lifting, and frequent manual handling of material and product. On the job training is provided; however, the pace is constant and requires effort particularly when performing new tasks.

Our Production Employees are represented by the United Steel Workers and choose the promotional opportunities they are interested in through a bid process.

We have 5 Production Departments (Cells): Clad, Forming, Finishing, Assembly, and Material Handling. Below is a brief description of each.

Clad –This Cell works with large metal coils (Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Copper) to produce the raw material (blanks) that ultimately become cookware. The metal is cut, conditioned, assembled into layers, and processed through a mill that applies heat and pressure to bond the metals together. Various sized blanks are then stamped out depending on which product it will ultimately be used to create.

Forming –This Cell forms the blank into the rough form of the final product (shell) and performs some of the final finishing. Forming technology used includes hydraulic presses, spin forming, and hydroform presses. Lathe and Hilite machines are used to condition the lip / rim / interior of the product.

Finishing –This Cell focuses on polishing the exterior of the cookware using large buffing machines.

Assembly –This Cell is the final step in production where the cookware is cleaned, laser logo-ed, handles attached using rivets, and inspected before being bagged, boxed, and sent to our Distribution Center.

Material Handling – This Cell is responsible for moving material and products to and from the Cells using forklifts and tow motors.

We also have a Maintenance Department with Millwrights, Electricians, and Technicians that are typically trained internally and selected through the bid process.
