Job Summary

The Fulfillment Specialist is required to oversee SBCA’s Publication Department and will be responsible for offloading stock deliveries, processing work orders, locating merchandise, and packaging orders for shipment. This position will be required to operate warehouse machinery including forklifts and pallet jacks. The Publications Manager will work with SBCA’s Controller and Executive Director to manage inventory levels, provide notifications of low stock, create purchase orders, and order materials from approved vendors.

Fulfillment Specialist Responsibilities:

· Offloading delivery trucks transporting merchandise into staging area

· Arranging incoming deliveries in designated storage areas

· Performing warehouse duties using pallet jacks and forklifts

· Reading and deciphering work orders

· Locating and extracting merchandise from shelves and storage areas

· Confirming merchandise information matches that of the work order

· Inspecting the merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities

· Collating and manually packaging product into saleable form

· Packing the merchandise for shipping and/or delivery

· Transporting the packed items to the delivery trucks and/or delivery centers

· Finalizing the work order and updating the database

· Accepting orders from SBCA customers via telephone and/or internet systems

· Emailing coworkers and customers on status of orders

Fulfillment Specialist Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED

· Previous experience in fulfillment environments

· Experience operating forklifts and similar machinery

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to lift 45 pounds regularly throughout the day

· Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day

· Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Knowledge of logistics management systems and processes

· Knowledge of warehousing procedures an advantage

· Ability to travel with a commercial airline.

Salary and Benefits

Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications, with beginning hourly rate expected to be in the range of $20-25/hour. Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
