Jefferson County Public Health is currently hiring a Public Health Strategic Initiatives Coordinator. Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) is seeking an adaptable individual with leadership skills to join our team as a Food Systems Coordinator. This is a two-year, grant funded position and is part of a regional Denver metro collaboration funded by the Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Chronic Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Program from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The Food Systems Coordinator will work with the Jeffco Food Policy Council (FPC) and community members, elected officials, policy makers, partner organizations, entities involved in all aspects of the local and regional food systems, and JCPH and County staff to eliminate food insecurity and hunger in Jefferson County through policy, systems and environmental changes. The Coordinator will also work in collaboration with staff from the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) and Tri-County Health Department (TCHD), addressing food insecurity and hunger on a regional basis.

Must have valid driver’s license, if you are from out of state, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violation conviction in the past three years.

Must provide immunization record at time of hire, or prove immunity, to comply with departmental Communicable Disease Control Policy
