Job Details

  • POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    Oversees food production program for the District. Works with and manages, sous chefs, cooks, storeroom and kitchen staff.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    License /Certification
    Required:
    • Registered Dietitian (RD) or registration eligible (RDE); or
    • Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR); or
    • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM).
    • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within six months of hire/transfer.


    Experience
    Required:
    • Three years food service management experience.
    • Two Years of food service production experience.
    Preferred:
    • Experience with food production in a healthcare or large food production facility.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Knowledge of adequate nutritional needs for all ages, therapeutic diets, and proper food handling techniques.
    • Knowledge creating recipes for large quantity production and menus that include adequate nutritional needs for all ages, therapeutic diets, and proper food handling techniques.
