This position serves Beck School of Practical Nursing, a vocational nursing program that has provided quality nursing education to area students for 40 years. This position administers the programs which provide Federal Financial Aid awards to eligible post-secondary students at the Center.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Normal working hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 2. Collecting, managing and verifying confidential student applicant data. 3. Authorizing payment of student awards for disbursement by the business office. 4. Monitoring changes in student status and authorizing funds. 5. Student counseling, including preparation and dissemination or required student consumer information through financial aid presentations and individual counseling. 6. Student loan counseling, including entrance and exit loan counseling as required by the Federal Direct Loan program. 7. Collecting and reporting data as required by the National Center for Educational Statistics. 8. Overseeing the return of federal aid due to student withdrawal. 9. Ensuring that the Center complies with all institutional responsibilities as required by the U.S. Department of Education while participating in Federal financial aid programs. 10. Assisting the Guidance Counselor as needed in informing high school students about the financial aid process. 11. Ensuring administrative capability in terms of technology requirements, such as software downloads, upgrades, and internet based communication with the U.S. Department of Education. 12. Participates in any other duties as assigned by the director.

**Previous Financial Aid Counseling and/or Accounting Experience Preferred.

**This is a 12 month position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $37,700.00 per year
